Officially opened on 14 August 1997, Menara Alor Setar represents the growth and development of Kedah while mainataining the city's cultural charm. It is the 19th tallest telecommunication tower in the world and plays an essential role in broadcasting and communications for the region

One of the main highlights of Menara Alor Setar is its Observation Deck, located 88 meters above ground.From here, visitors can enjoy a 360 degree view of Alor Setar, the vast paddy fields surrounding the city, and even the distant Gunung Jerai on a clear day.
